Stained Glass Work

Original glass works by Heidi Klingelhofer, who founded Five Islands Farm in 2002. She began working in glass in early 2020. Originally a sculptor, she finds that glass work satisfies a need to create and build something tactile. Her work is inspired by the glass and how it is enhanced as the light interacts with it. She works in both the Tiffany technique of foil and solder as well as traditional lead came. Many times the work incorporates shells, stones and glass gems to add dimension.
