Studio Shows

We hope you will join us for an Open Studio Show on two weekends from August 15th until August 23rd.   The show will also  feature the works of several Maine  artists and crafts people.  This show will feature many small paintings by a new guest artist Alyssa Bishop from Bath, Maine.  We will also have abstract works from our returning guest artist Nancy Keenan Barron.   This show will also include the ceramics by Stephanie Haynes of Wishbone Clay,  sculptures and wall art from Mike Stephens, oyster shell work by Leslie McMahan, and baskets by Bonnie Malsch.   Hearth and Harrow hand printed towels will also return for this show!     This show is still evolving, and we will update this page as more photos are available.

Guest Artists

Alyssa Bishop
Paintings

This show we welcome Alyssa Bishop a landscape painter and printmaker from Bath, Maine.  " Through a thoughtful and instinctual process, Alyssa explores how color and brushstroke can reveal an emotional quality in a scene. She welcomes the viewer to discover a sense of place and connection in her compositions, as she strives to capture the ever-changing moods of Maine’s woods and waters.
Alyssa holds a BA in Painting and Art History from Simmons College."

Stephanie Haynes
Wishbone Clay

Stunning contemporary ceramics by Stephanie Hayes. Wishbone Clay is functional art for living an aesthetic life.  After receiving her BFA in Fine Art at the College of Art and Craft in Oregon she returned home to Maine and began Wishbone Clay.  Stephanie's studio in New Harbor, Maine also features a beautiful small shed gallery during the summer season.   Visit her website here.

Nancy Keenan Barron
Paintings

We are so happy that Maine artist Nancy Keenan Barron has returned for another open studio show again this year.  Her new abstract paintings have a distinctive feel and an exuberant energy with an evocative use of color.

Mike Stevens
Sculpture

Unique and humorous perfectly describe these new contemporary folk-art sculptures from Five Islands artist Mike Stevens.  His work is always a brilliant addition to our show.
